SPENDING THE MORNING AT TANJUNG PANDAN TRADITIONAL MARKET

28th OCTOBER 2019 ~ In the morning of the very last day in Belitung Island, we made our way to the traditional market at Tanjung Pandan. It was the usual wet market, not meant for tourists. I could see some people were amused at the sight of us busy taking photos there.

The vegetables looked fresh, and the seafood was really fresh. Just wish I could buy some to bring back home, but that would not be a good idea when one was taking the plane to travel long distance.

Other than that, there were varieties of food for breakfast sold at the market. We did buy a few kinds, as we were curious how the food would taste like.

There was this man selling mousedeer meat caught from the island forest which should be something rare to us.

We managed to buy some food items and non-food items as well from the market to bring back home. We could not spend too much time as we had to catch a flight later on but the market should have more things to offer. Next time, if there is a next time.
