WHAT DID I WATCH ON NETFLIX: ARUNA AND HER PALATE

First of all, the original title in Indonesian language is "Aruna & Lidahnya" which sounds a bit strange to me. "Lidah" means "tongue" in English which could literary connote what Aruna could do with her tongue. 😀

It is the story of 4 friends - 2 men and 2 women who were travelling together as 2 of them should be on their work-related field trip. At the same time, they were taking the opportunity to embark on the gastronomic adventures as the were visiting the other cities. One sub plot, the 2 colleagues managed to sense a scam going on with the distribution of vaccine [something like that] to cure bird flu. The other sub plot, the people in the movie had not actually expressed their affections to each others - making it 2 pairs of men and women eventually declaring their intimate feelings. Unfortunately, I was more focused on the gastronomic adventures and all the foods they were enjoying throughout the story line. It was like I was watching the travel and food channel on television and the people in the documentary in the ending was falling in love.

It was good to see Nicholas Saputra and Dian Sastrowardoyo back on the screen again. They were once the movies' heartthrobs a long time ago when they were still very young.
