16th DECEMBER 2019 ~ After about 4-hour drive from Bagan, we finally arrived at the third city in Myanmar: Mandalay. If you think the pagoda and temple trips had ended, then you are wrong. We were first taken by our guide to Mandalay Hill where Su Taung Pyai Pagoda was located.
Perched on the 240 metres hill, there was a lift that could carry people straight to the pagoda - thank God for that. There were not many people in the pagoda at that time so we could freely explore the place.
Other than observing the beautiful architecture of the pagoda, one could also observe the panoramic city from a higher level. It should be a significant landmark to be visited when you are in Mandalay.
