16th DECEMBER 2019 ~ Next we were taken to one famous temple in Mandalay: Sandamuni Pagoda. Why is this temple significant? There are 1774 shrines surroundings the golden dome. Each shrine houses a single marble slab, measuring 1.68 metres tall and 1.07 metres wide, which was written with the teaching of Buddha.
This should be one of the most instagrammble spots in Myanmar. However, fatigue started to set in after the long journey from Bagan. Besdies, it was scorching hot and our tummies were already growling. That should explain the limited photos I posted here. And there were more temples after this one.
