This French movie tells the story of an African doctor who just graduated medical school decided to take his family to a small town north of France to start a new life. The challenge: most of the villagers had never seen a real black man in their lives. The stereotyping had made their lives miserable and their presence was not accepted. Even people refused to seek him for medical advice and at one time, the doctor had to work as a farmer instead to earn a living.
However, their compassion and sincerity, as well as friendliness, have won the villagers' hearts. A light drama watchable with family members, without being worried of any unwanted scenes and language.
