30th MAY 2023 ~ In the morning of the final day of the stay, we decided to go on the river cruise to see the well-known Kampung Air [TRANSLATE: Water Village] of Bandar Seri Begawan. We first though we needed to go to the city centre and took a boat from the jetty there. And we were wrong. We could simply get a boat from the jetty at Kiangeh Market which was actually behind the hotel where we were staying.

The boatman was actually on his way to the market. So we had to wait for him to buy whatever he needed and then only he took us on the crew. From the jetty, which was in town, we headed straight to his house which was in Kampung Air - to get the life jackets for us. 😆
We just enjoyed the scenery of the city while the boat was cruising on the river. At many places, we had to pass beneath the bridges. And at this one particular bridge, it was so low that we had to bend down so as to make sure we would not knock our heads against the concrete.

We eventually arrived at the village. The traditional houses looked real old and worn out. Unfortunately, the water surrounding the area was not that clean as we could see rubbish floating around everywhere.
I have recorded videos of the trip but I would have to solve some issues regarding the video editor software for editing. Hope things will work out accordingly soon.
