THE ROYAL PALACE OF CAMBODIA - PART ONE

the front gate: all yellow - the wall and even the pavement.

13th AUGUST 2019 ~ The must-visit spot in Phnom Penh is the Royal Palace which is located near the museum. The place is only opened to public at 7:30 - 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. so make sure you do not come before the visiting time. I wonder who would want to visit the place as early as 7:30 in the morning.

The entrance fee is USD10 (which is equal to about RM40) and I read people complaining of the high price on travel websites when they wrote reviews.

The palace complex was a huge area. I could basically divide it into two sections: the main palace area and the Silver Pagoda area.

The main attraction was of course the Throne Hall which housed the grand and majestic main hall. UNFORTUNATELY, visitors were not allowed to take photo of the place which was a disappointment after paying so much for the tickets.

There were other smaller buildings in the palace complex. I should have referred to the pamphlet given to identify which building was which - but I did not do that. It was actually very hot at 2:00 in the afternoon. There was no way I could read and walk at the same time under the scorching sun.

I am now trying to get more information about the Royal Palace from Wikipedia. However, to label the building is not an easy task as after sometime they all look just alike.
