13th AUGUST 2019 ~ There was this night market at the city centre which should be an attraction for the tourists. I went there twice but unfortunately I could not find anything fancy to buy and bring back home.
In the middle of the market, there was a stage with live singing performances to attract the locals, because they sang all songs in the Cambodian language.
At the back part of the night market, behind the stage to be exact, was where all the food stalls were located. You could get all the local food and drinks here but I could not find any halal food there.
The most interesting feature of the night market was that you could enjoy your food by sitting on the mats lain on the ground, like the locals did. There were also chairs and tables just in case you got uncomfortable eating cross-legged.
If you do not have anything else to do, this should be an option of an activity available in Phnom Penh in the evening.
