When opportunity arose, we would never hesitate to embark on another gastronomic adventure. The biggest challenge was to think of the place to go and sometimes we could only decide at the very last minute.
Our after school lunch today took place at Bakar Siakap Goreng Restaurant located in Kampung Pasir Putih, Pasir Gudang. This was my first time here.
This restaurant should be popular as there were many people when we were dining. Most of them, who looked like people who went out from the office during lunch hour, I guess, came from Tanjung Langsat and Pasir Gudang area. A few tables we already labelled "RESERVED" when we arrived.
The restaurant was built on stilts over the ocean, or the mouth of the river, so one could enjoy the scenic view of a fisherman's village.

The signature dish of the place was its deep fried Sea Bass which was crispy and surprisingly not oily at all. [The name of the restaurant "Siakap Goreng" means "Fried Sea Bass"] Then you could choose the local/traditional Malay side dishes to complement the fish.
There were bananas on each table and they were actually free.
One thing worth mentioning is that the prices of food were reasonable and you could order set meals for either a small or big group.
Operation hours is between 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and the place is closed on Friday.
It is a blessing to have a friend who enjoys eating out and we already know where to go for our next outing.
