STOPPING AT PULAU PASIR OFF LEEBONG ISLAND - PART ONE

28th OCTOBER 2019 ~ The destination of the island hopping trip of the day was Leebong Island. To get there, we had to go first to Tanjung Rhu, where the Pegantungan Harbour is also located, and hop into a boat.

The boat ride was a pleasant one. The sea was calm and the wind was not strong. It was not as busy as the route from Tanjung Kelayang to Lengkuas Island. It seemed we were the only tourists on the cruise that day.

Sometimes we saw constructions built on the ocean for fishing activities. Back at home, it is called "kelong".

Suddenly, from afar, we saw this strip of land with white beach. We were told that was the "Pulau Pasir" [translate: Sand Island] which only appeared during low tide. We were already excited when we it was announced we would be stopping there to take photos.

Once the boat had reached the sandy part of the island, we jumped down and witnessed one magnificent wonder of nature. In front of our eyes was a piece of land with sand whiter that white.

We were first welcomed by these huge sea creatures in the water - live starfish.

It was time to take photos this heavenly place, with all kinds of poses possible, to be posted on social media so that friends who did not join us in this trip would be envious to no end.

More photos (of us) in the next entry.
