26th OCTOBER 2019 ~ On the second day of our stay in Belitung Island, we decided to get our breakfast outside as we were eager for our first island hopping trip. We were brought to this restaurant called Hanggar 21. I was told this was a popular eating place because of its location which was in the centre between the Tanjung Pandan town and the airport. There were already people eating when we arrived.
The place was modern, huge and most importantly, clean.
The was also some sort of accommodation for rent at the back of the restaurant.

We ordered a variety of local breakfast food. I got my Mee [noodles] Belitung - but I found it a bit too sweet for my palate. Most of the time, the plates were covered with a big leaf called Simpur and this is like a common practice here.

It was just breakfast but we had made some discovery of the food eaten for breakfast in Belitung Island.
