MCO PROJECT - EXTREME OFFICE MAKEOVER [PART ONE]

One of the major projects done during the long school break because of the MCO [Movement Control Order] period was the [senior assistant's] office extreme makeover in school - i.e. SMK Dato' Jaafar. I would need the extra long hours to focus on my project and I just had to force myself to do it. It is now or never.

4th JUNE 2020

It started much earlier, the week before the Eid holiday, by getting rid of all the unnecessary accumulated items over the years. Uncluttering was not an easy thing to do - one just have to be strong mentally and physically. The papers were then sent to the recycling centre. After that, I managed to get the help of Mr. Syafiq Jaafar, one of the school staff, to help me paint the room as well as do other essential maintenance work. I decided to get rid of the blinds which had been collecting dust and surprisingly, the glass windows are actually tinted and allow a lot of light from outside into the room.

Two pieces of furniture were also sent to other room and consequently, the room was getting spacier.

The huge canteen table was also returned to its original place.

A new and smaller 4-seat dining table was brought in instead as it is important to have one, mostly for discussion sessions.

The office now is almost ready, but there is one more essential item that will complete the extreme office makeover project.
