THE LAUNCHING OF "LET'S READ FOR 10 MINUTES" CAMPAIGN

A launching event of "Let's Read for 10 Minutes" was held at SK Taman Sri Tebrau today. I had to represent the principal as he had to attend a briefing somewhere else.

I registered at 9.30 a.m. and the VIP only arrived at 11.00 a.m. *sigh*

A welcome dance was presented by the students of the host school, followed by the VIP.

Interestingly, the VIP, YB Tuan Haji Aminolhuda Hassan, the state assemblyman and the Johor Government Exco Member was once a colleague in SMK Taman Universiti.

Then there were more performances presented by the students of SK Taman Sri Tebrau, a story-telling session and action song.

As usual, it was all ended with a lunch treat for the guests.

Every single event has to be launched at different levels here, and most of the time it was done in a grand manner, involving a lot of people, time, energy and money. Whether it would be a success or have a high impact is not that important but as long as there is a launching event, it is considered done.

Hopefully people will start spending 10 minutes of their daily routine with reading. And I will have to take out a book out of the shelf after this.
