22nd MARCH 2019 ~ I was there at about 3.00 p.m. and at that time, there were not many tourists yet so walking around the village was a pleasant thing to do. Most of the villagers I met were the elders as they might not be working anymore and they were generally friendly. They smiled back when I smiled to them.
When I was in Busan, the sakura was about to bloom so there were some trees were already adorned with the tiny and beautiful pink buds.
There were many spots which were decorated with modern arts and visitors were always excited to be photographed there.
There were also shops where the locals did their daily business transactions.
fresh fruits anyone? |
You have to be observant to spot some of the artwork around the village. Not only the paintings on the walls, there were also statues and 3-D models that could be found.
I found the marketplace too. However, only a few shops were operating at that hour. The place must be bustling with activities in the morning. For one thing, the market was clean and did not smell like a market at all.

There were just too many things to see at Gamcheon Village. Hence it is advisable for you to spend longer time there.
