FINDING AUTHENTIC SARAWAK LUNCH AT BAKO SMALL TOWN

17th SEPTEMBER 2022   ~ After all the trekking and climbing up and down the hills at Bako National Park, and walking around the village in the hot afternoon, we had to get lunch before making our way back to Kuching city. As our guide Mr. Mazlan also needed to get back to the Bako Jetty to get his car, he took us to this one restaurant just outside the terminal.

It was the authentic Sarawak lunch dishes cooked in someone's kitchen by someone's mother. The restaurant was not in the viral list of eating places one must go to but the food was really delicious even though we just had rice, fish and vegetables. A great gastronomic adventure did not have to happen at popular places only for one thing.

And there was a small shop selling seafood right beside the restaurant.

We had to bid Mr. Mazlan good bye and drove back to the city after that.
