GETTING CENDOL FOR THE KUCHING GASTRONOMIC ADVENTURE


  7TH SEPTEMBER 2022   ~ After lunch at the small restaurant at Bako Terminal, we were ready for tea by time we reached Kuching city - after abut 45 minutes. The next stop was Cendol Mami - for none other than another Malaysian popular dessert: Cendol.


Cendol Mami was listed in one of the must visit eating places in Kuching in a few blog posts I had read. It must be a famous eating spot as the seats were always full and people kept coming in and out of the restaurant when we were there.


One bowl of Cendol was with steamed sticky rice.


The other bowl of Cendol came with sweet fermented rice.


We also tried its fried banana topped with Coconut Kaya - something like coconut and egg jam.
















The abundance of sugar should have replaced all the lost energy and calories [and fat] during the hiking trip before that. We just needed to eat more. 😀
