6th SEPTEMBER 2022 ~ This was not in our original itinerary list and the place was also not visited by other people who wrote about their trips in their blog posts. We wanted to venture out a bit and the initial plan was to find a beach but we ended up in a small fishing village called Kampung Buntal.
The village was very quiet and we did not see anyone at this place.
We walked to the jetty on the river, Sungai Buntal, and saw a man was mending his net. I quickly struck a conversation with Mr. Sabtu who was friendly. He used to stay and work in Johor Bahru many years ago so there was a lot to talk about besides the interesting information of the village itself.
We could not stay long and had to bid good bye to Mr. Sabtu. I was glad we had come here to meet and greet a local outside the city.
