6th February 2019 ~ There is a mosque right in the heart of Tanjung Balai town. We were at Baitul Karim Mosque just at the right time, a few minutes before the call for Zuhur prayer.
It was just a small building but the most important thing is that the place was real clean and well taken care of.

I saw this drum outside the hall and it was still being used. I witnessed a person hitting it just before the call for prayer was aired on the loud speakers. How cool is that?
The hall was adorned with simple but colourful Arabic calligraphy of verses from the Qur'an on the walls.
This mosque was about 15 minutes walking distance away from our hotel. We managed to come back here two more time for our prayers the next day.
We also managed to visit two other bigger mosques during our 2-day stay there. That will be updated later in my next posts.
