23rd MARCH 2019 ~ I decided to take the night's hop on hop off bus trip in Busan on the second day of my stay. TIP #1: buy your tickets online earlier as priority would be given to those who had secured the pass beforehand. I had to wait in line and was only allowed in when there were vacancies on the bus.
The meeting point was somewhere near Busan Station which was fortunately near to my hotel. We had to be there by 7.00 p.m. and people had already been queuing up when I arrived.
There should be a few stops after we had hopped on the bus but in my trip, we hopped off only twice. TIP #2: if the temperature was low, it would not be a good idea to be on this trip, especially at night. You would not want to get frozen anyway.
The first stop was Haeundae Beach which is considered South Korea most famous and beautiful beach. The bus driver gave us about 15 minutes to be on the beach but the passengers were already running back into bus like after 10 minutes. The wind and the low temperature were not having any mercy on us.
The second and final stop was Marine City. We alighted from the bus in front of Park Hyatt Hotel to see the beautifully lit up Gwangan Bridge.which should be near to another famous beach in Korea, Gwangali Beach. Again, the passengers would rather stay in the bus which was much warmer than outside.
I guess I was on the hop on hop off bus just at the wrong time. But then, it was very cold out there in Busan so there was not much to be done anyway. It would be best to take the trip when it is warmer, or maybe during day time. At the same time, there are other hop on hop off bus companies in Busan (mine was KK Bus Tour) that you might consider researching before going.
