29th JUNE 2024 ~ After attending the engagement ceremony last year [READ HERE] and the reception of the bride's side last week [READ HERE] in Pasir Gudang, I was now in Kuantan for the reception of the groom's side. Puan Suriana Ali, an old friend of UPM TESL class of 1993, held the reception for his son at Kimstone Hall in Beserah.
As usual, some friends from the TESL group were there too. Two members were the residents of Kuantan while others came all the way from Kuala Lumpur, Selangor one was from Negeri Sembilan and the other one from Kelantan.
Wedding receptions are always the venue for us to get reunited once in a while. Now that I am already retired, I am always looking forward to attending one and travel to other places at the same time.
We enjoyed both the good food and the company of old friends for about two hours, before bidding farewell to each other.
Congratulations to Puan Suriana on the addition of the new [Johorian] member in the family. Hope to be back in Kuantan one day if invited again for other similar event.
